Sculptra® Aesthetic
Sculptra Aesthetic is made with biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments restoring lost volume and fullness to areas of the face and body in the process.
As we age, our body’s ability to produce collagen decreases and our faces begin to age and wrinkle. Areas of the body can also go through changes, resulting in thinner skin and the appearance of cellulite. Since collagen keeps the skin youthful and smooth, increasing your collagen production will rejuvenate your appearance.

Sculptra Aesthetic® is used to improve the following areas:
- Nasolabial folds or smile lines
- Marionette lines
- Chin wrinkles
- Temples
- Hollows under the eyes
- Jawline
- Chest
- Cellulite that has formed on the buttocks
- Buttock augmentation in order to give a more projected butt “Brazilian butt-lift” (BBL).
The loss collagen and volume are one of the key components that make the skin look older; thus by restoring volume, the face will look more youthful.
Similarly in your body, if fullness is restored to the buttocks, cellulite can become less visible and the skin may appear firmer and smoother.

Treatment description
Consists of injected Sculptra® that has been diluted with saline and some local anesthetic (lidocaine).

Local anesthesia
We apply a numbing cream for around 30-45 minutes.
Number of treatment sessions
The number of injection appointments and the number of injections per appointment vary from person to person, depending on how much collagen has been lost. On average, three injection appointments are needed over a period of a few months.
Treatment duration
Depending on the area to be treated between 30 and 45 minutes.
Side effects and Results
- Side effects: slight swelling, redness and tenderness for a few days.
- Results: will be visible after 6 to 8 weeks depending on the treatment protocol.
