After a detailed examination of the face, the doctor injects the botulinum toxin into the specified areas (see illustration below). The treatment lasts about 15 to 30 minutes. We currently use the Juvapen du deliver the Botox injections. This automated pen, provides more precision, confort as well as less bruising than manual injections with syringes.
What are the results?
A relaxed face, a relaxed appearance and smoothed skin; the botulinum toxin (Vistabel OR Botox ®) allows a subtle lifting effect on the upper face and eyes. The results appear between 4 and 7 days after the injection session.
The effect of botulinum toxin (Vistabel or Botox) decreases gradually, and the muscles recover their activity about 4 to 6 months after the injection. For this reason, I recommend repeating the treatment after about 6 months.
The wrinkles are blurred, the face regains a smoother appearance and therefore a new youth.
Some disadvantages can occur during the period of stabilization of the product, such as asymmetry or heaviness in the eyelids.
It is also possible to observe “small blues”, redness and feel headaches, dizziness or nausea. These side effects are all temporary.
